Latest from the SEER Centre. As a charitable organisation, every donation, big or small, every volunteer or piece of publicity about our work, is vital to our effectiveness with continuing to promote and demonstrate the aims of local and global remineralisation with eco-friendly farming, producing sustainable food to sustain local communities. as a means to stabilise Climate Change SEER promotes phasing out agricultural chemicals and covering Earth's degraded soils with Rockdust and compost. This natural recycling solution requires to be researched so that it can be adopted by the UK government and others. Author, Graham Harvey has done a great deed by bringing information about the need for remineralisation to his many thousands of readers in his latest book "We Want Real Food", launched in February 2006. Consequently, there are now outlets and demand for the SEER Rockdust product range throughout the UK and beyond. The SEER Centre Trust trading arm "Rockdust Limited" was set up in 2005 to trade SEER Rockdust products and help to sustain the SEER Centre with profits from sales. Rockdust Ltd. has a contract with Angus Horticulture Ltd. to carry out promotion, bagging and distribution throughout the UK. The SEER Centre is a 6 acre site, including 4 acres of non-mechanised terraced gardens, paths and lawns, dependant on a team of dedicated gardeners, harvesters, packers and caterers to keep it cared for and open to the public. We sell Rockdust products to sustain the SEER Centre effectively. Have you tried SEER Rockdust, Rocksoil or Rockmix? YOU CAN HELP to promote the work of the SEER Centre by buying SEER Rockdust products. Donations and help in kind are welcome. You can also help by subscribing to our growing movement - "Friends of SEER". We look forward to hearing from you! Lectures: Cameron and Moira Thomson,Co-Founders of The SEER Centre Trust and its trading arm, Rockdust Ltd. are available - at the SEER Centre or away - for presentations on their experience, experiments, discoveries, and development of The SEER Centre, SEER Rockdust®, Rocksoil and Rockmix. Cameron explains how todays climate change is linked to Earth's soil history and he discusses our potential to stabilise climate change by assisting soils to absorb excess CO2 via soil remineralisation and ecological management. Moira demonstrates how this can be achieved on local levels, whether in containers, gardens or farms and woodlands. Her slide show gives a pictorial history of how the SEER Centre was created in a barren glen and developed to its present stage - 4 acres of beautiful terraced gardens and bumper organic health-promoting crops - the oasis in the glen. Courses and working holidays: providing innovative ecological gardening and self-sufficiency knowledge and techniques as well as an opportunity to learn practical skills in the SEER Centre gardens and polytunnel. Contact Moira Thomson moira@seercentre.org.uk to book and see visitscotland.com to browse for local accommodation. We are always willing to dicuss our work with the press.
